Munich wedding I wasn’t there to photograph!
Munich wedding time!
Every now and then I’m at a wedding not to photograph it; just to be there as a guest and enjoy the day. Normally I’ll bring the camera along and take a couple of shots, let the professional do their thing without me in the way trying to get (as my good friend Mags says) arty farty shots and just enjoy the day as it happens.
Alex & Thomas’ wedding was a bit of a change from that routine; it’s not often you’re in Germany, at a Beer Keller and all the men in Lederhosen. They also made the decision to not have a photographer at their wedding. This isn’t about not having a professional at your wedding day, it was their decision and none of my business I did however want to make sure they got a few shots.
I wanted to wander around with my camera, use it as an opportunity to use a lens that doesn’t make it on the camera often (50mm) and have a beer in the other hand, no pressure just taking piccies and having fun……and I did.
Lessons you should learn from Alex & Thom are; do the wedding your way! Make the day as relaxed as possible! Weddings do not have to be traditional! Enjoy every part of it!
Getting to play with my niftyfifty was a joy and I’ll be popping it on my camera a whole lot more that’s for sure. 🙂
Below is a small collection of shots; enjoy!
