Up close and personal

Up close and personal

My main weapon of choice is my wide angle 24mm lens, it means I get close; real close sometimes but in doing so it creates documentary photos.

Pop in front of the camera to see how easy it'll be on the big day, then lets head to the pub for a chat over a pint!

Style and Approach

I love the work of Tony Ray-Jones; a British documentary street photographer from the 60s & 70s. His work notes are a great inspiration for me and certainly influence my approach; “Get in Close”, “Don’t take boring photos”, “Get more involved (talk to people)”, perfect advice to take for shooting weddings too! I add to that, “Use humour”, “Be different”, “Don’t stop experimenting”

My favourite lens of choice is my trusty Canon 24mm. Going wide often means getting in close. Sometimes I’m super close. I guarantee it’ll make you smile, you’ll get used to it and you’ll get some cracking photos.
